Photos and drawings, hung up near the finds, describe and complete the whole image of the objects. There is a spectacular pedestal with a depth of 50 meters, at the bottom of which was found a human skeleton of unknown age. Important is also the finding from the Z cave shelter, which is the upper jaw with the left bicuspid, from the fossilized skull section of Ursus ST. ARCTOS (Brown Bear) aged about 10.000. As far as the rocks drawings are concerned, they present people with huge hands that reaching to the feet. There are various ornaments in their heads, while in some people the genitals are highlighted.
At Cave A the fossilized bones of the Cave Bear were discovered, dating back 120.000 years ago. In the same cave, in the deep big chamber, there is a natural stalagmite basin with water, where it is a worship judging from the shells that were found. There is also the probability that the cave was a nymph church. At the same time, fossils were identified by the Laboratory of Geology – Palaeontology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. These are Corals of the CYCLOSERIS Cretan age ranging from 70 to 140 million years old. The Society of Speleology of Kavala in co-operation with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki have attempted to shed light in these mysteries since 1990.
Also from the museum you can buy souvenirs and photographs to remind you of the magical moments of peace and tranquility in Pozar spring baths.
